Welcome, my name is Amaury de Vicq.
I completed my PhD in financial history at the University of Utrecht in January 2022. I have an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc in Business Economics, and a MA in History from KU Leuven.
Currently, I am an assistant professor at the University of Groningen. Prior to that I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Paris School of Economics. I am also a World Inequality Database (WID) fellow.
My research combines economic and historical approaches to better understand individuals' credit arrangements and their investment behaviour. I am equally interested in exploring the long-term dynamics of wealth inequality. My research focuses on France and the Netherlands in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and relies heavily on archival sources.
